Giuliani’s daughter endorses Kamala Harris, despite father’s Trump Ties

Caroline Rose Giuliani, daughter of Donald Trump’s former personal attorney and former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, has endorsed Kamala Harris, saying it was a difficult decision due to the “emotional storm” linked to her father’s connection with the Republican presidential candidate. Caroline expressed her support for the Democratic candidate in a letter published by Vanity Fair.
In her first television interview with CNN after the endorsement, she told Erin Burnett that she struggled to share her thoughts, knowing it could hurt her relationship with her 80-year-old father. Caroline did not inform her father about her endorsement of Harris.
In her essay, she discussed the challenges her father has faced since he began working with Trump.
“The totality of that makes this the most difficult piece I’ve ever written. Yet this moment and this election are so much bigger than any of us,” Giuliani wrote, reported the New York Post.
Caroline Rose believes Harris is the country’s “only chance for a better future”, warning people, “Take it from me, Trump destroys everything he touches. I saw it happen to my family. Don’t let it happen to yours, or to our country.”
She also highlighted her father’s legal troubles, including state charges related to election issues in Georgia and Arizona, as well as a defamation judgement against him by two former Georgia election workers.
When asked during the interview if she fears her father might go to jail, she acknowledged that it is a scary thought but emphasised her focus on the future and her support for Kamala Harris.
